Here’s a set of videos to show you how to play Rock Prodigy

Guitar basics for beginners

If you’re new to guitar, watch this short video.

It covers parts of the guitar, holding the guitar, and basic performance language.

Getting Started With Your Acoustic Guitar

If you have an acoustic, you can play directly into the device’s built-in microphone. Here’s a step-by-step video guide.

Getting Started With Your Electric Guitar

For best results, plug your electric guitar into your device when playing Rock Prodigy. You’ll need your electric, a cable, an adapter like iRig or Peavey Link, and a set of headphones. Please remember to turn up the volume on your electric guitar.

Tuning Your Guitar

Rock Prodigy listens to you play and gives you a “thumbs up” or “thumbs down” for every note you play. So, you need to be in tune. You can use Rock Prodigy’s built-in chromatic tuner to tune up.

If you are already connected to Rock Prodigy, it’s easy to start learning songs and skills:

Connect and tune your guitar. (see above)

Tap a song or lesson.

Select a difficulty level.

Tap the screen to pause the song.

Horizontal lines are strings. Numbers are frets. (Just like guitar tab.)

When numbers cross the playline, play that string at that fret.

“Auto-pause” waits until you hit the right note.
